In December 2002, Cameratta Properties acquired one of the last remaining waterfront sites in downtown Fort Myers, Florida. The four acre site is situated between McGregor Boulevard and the Caloosahatchee River.
Just 12 months after the purchase, Cameratta Properties partnered with the largest private equity fund in the world, the Carlyle Group, to help make the luxury waterfront condominium project, High Point Place, a reality. Cameratta also secured funding from Wachovia Bank, National City Bank, Huntington Bank and Fifth Third Bank.
When High Point Place broke ground in September 2004, the first residential unit offering of 105 luxury condominiums was fully reserved within a record breaking 30 days and of the second offering of 155 units over half were reserved. High Point Place was officially sold out as of March 2005; the final offering, the 18 low-rise City Homes, sold out within just three hours.
March 2006 marked the ‘top off’ of the project’s first tower. High Point Place now soars to an unprecedented 361 feet, making downtown Fort Myers home to the tallest building in Southwest Florida. The 32 story luxury waterfront towers are the tallest buildings south of Tampa and west of Miami.
Amenities at High Point Place include a Pool, Spa, Sauna, Fitness Center, Social Lounge and Conference Room
